   Also GRUB2, which some distros now default to. Keep a list on paper of   
   what each partition's being used for. Make sure your production distro   
   stays working and has online access, in case you have questions about   
   other distros. I see Bill Unruh recommends /not/ having any other   
   partitions accessible (i.e. mounted) under each distro, the opposite of   
   what I'm doing, but then I'm using a separate machine for the other   
   distros. Your decision there.   
      
   I'm sure the others have more experience with this than I do, as I'm   
   literally only a week ahead of you on this. You /might/ want to look at   
   the past week of the "OT: Off-Topic" thread, which covers (among many   
   other things) my experiences so far. "eris" (2007 Compaq) became my   
   test system last month when I bought "stolid" (new HP).
