   Dunno if it makes a bit of difference, but FWIW I've been using one of   
   Google's public IPv4 DNS servers (8.8.4.4) as my primary, with my ISP's   
   as an as yet unneeded secondary backup. At least, unneeded as far as I   
   know.   
      
   I haven't attempted to move on to the IPv6 DNS yet. Not sure what's   
   involved where Mageia's concerned, or if my old Linksys WRT54G V8 router   
   would be a stumbling block, and not enough time this time of year for   
   study. Seems to be working OK, so for now I'm leaving well enough alone.
