   Thanks, Dave!  That looks like it should work (or with the IP of any   
   DNS)... unless one of the distro's "helpers" decides to rewrite   
   /etc/resolv.conf. :-)  I'm simultaneously configuring seven distros on   
   my "test" system, ranging from "relatively familiar" to "totally alien".
