   Most now use resolvconf so you can go into   
   /etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/tail and put in a resolver you always want   
   to be present.   
   Or switch off resolvconf and just manually put in stuff into   
   /etc/resolv.conf (If it is a desktop machine with static ip that is   
   probably best)
