   Yep!  In fact, you were the one who suggested apcupsd to me, and a very   
   good suggestion it was too.  It's a lot easier to configure than 'nut'.

   I really wish I could help you with that, but I just used the 64-bit   
   binary from the Mdv2011.0 repositories (v3.14.8), with the various   
   config files and scripts I'd altered in my 32-bit Mdv2010.0 install   
   (also from the repositories).  OTOH I only have one computer hooked up   
   to my UPS.  What is it you want to do that requires building it from source?
