   If you tried to make the connection from the MCC tool (don't remember   
   the name off the top of my head) or after setting it up, that may be the   
   problem. There was a bug in the version supplied with Mageia 2 where it   
   wouldn't work. Don't know if it's fixed yet. Make sure the wired   
   connection is set to start at boot, then try a reboot. It should come up   
   on its own - mine does. Never had the least bit of trouble getting a   
   wired connection working.
