   Sounds like in my case I'm best off sticking with POTS, then.  I've   
   never lost power for more than a few hours, but some parts of this   
   county occasionally have power outages of several days.  Phone   
   (landline) outages are much rarer, and I can't ever recall both being   
   out at the same time.  Sometimes older technology is better. :-)
