   Doesn't sound to me like that would get you where you want to go, if   
   your problem resides with the updated packages. I doubt that the   
   "upgrade" procedure from the DVD would necessarily replace the newly   
   updated "vitalpackage 2.0.1" with the older "vitalpackage 2.0.0."   
      
   But that's just speculation on my part. I know nothing of how the   
   "upgrade" procedure decides what to replace and what to leave alone.   
   That's why I always do clean installs of new releases.
