From: maurice@nomail.afraid.org              Whilst playing around with Mageia-2 and Mageia-3-Alpha2 on my netbook,       I also tried (whilst investigating Fn functions) installation of       Ubuntu 12.04 and Mint 13 KDE.        Of course, Mageia not yet using GRUB2 and the oher two now using it       meant that Mageia's GRUB Legacy MBR installation did not pick up the       other two installs (which use GRUB2), and vice-versa.              There are, I found, ways of overcoming this mismatch, such as described       here:               http://sourceforge.net/projects/gag/forums/forum/230439/topic/3533186              and the problem GAG has in booting a GRUB2 partition here:               http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GAG_%28boot_loader%29              Can anyone recommend one or the other, or suggest other solutions,       please?              --       /\/\aurice       (Replace "nomail.afraid" by "bcs" to reply by email)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
