XPost: alt.os.linux.mageia       From: BitTwister@mouse-potato.com              Does anyone know how to suppress the        Warning: The syslog daemon is not running.       message?              Mageia 3 does not install one of the system logger apps. Default       install is using journald as the logger and rkhunter does not know it is       the default and is running. :(                     FYI: I can recommend adding        RTKT_FILE_WHITELIST="/etc/crontab"       to a /etc/rkhunter.conf.local file. After that change, run               rkhunter --skip-keypress -C        /bin/rm -f /dev/shm/pulse*        rkhunter --propupd                     That has suppressed the warning messages I get from the /etc/cron.daily run       like this snippet:              Warning: The following processes are using suspicious files:        Command: crond        UID: 0 PID: 805        Pathname: /etc/crontab        Possible Rootkit: Unknown rootkit        |
