   It seem that some flash videos (I think) on Youtube  disables the sound on   
   all apps including youtube.   
      
   A reboot clears the problem until next time. I have googled and noted the   
   pulseaudio quirkiness complaints , but this doesn't really help.   
   Oddly the shutdown wave still runs when I shutdown.   
      
   I should upgrade. Which would be recommended Mandriva 2011 or Mageia
