   I lost my 2011 install. Tried to install and add my additional   
   packages from plf. No go, system response was pitiful.   
   Clean install Mageia 2 was uneventful. I do suggest reading   
   https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_2_Errata first.   
      
   For ati/radeon, I highly recommend configuring your video as xorg->vesa.   
   Add the non-free and tainted media, get updates, reboot, then   
   configure your video hardware.
