   A bunch of the knowledgeable Mandrake/Mandriva developers are the ones   
   who took 2010.x and made it the base for Mageia release 1. I got fed   
   up with 2011 32 bit, installed Mageia 2 64 bit and have not missed   
   Mandriva at all.   
      
   I highly recommend a clean install. Do not try an upgrade.
