Lucky you. Your post made it. I quit using Tera News a while back,
because about 80% of my posts never showed, and those that did sometimes
took days to do so. A couple of times, as much as a week.

Here in the Syracuse area, flu started very early, earlier than in most
of the country. Pundits were worried (pundits ALWAYS worry) about it,
but the wave of cases peaked after a normal amount of time and has
dropped off rapidly - too rapidly for the panicked rush for flu shots to
have been much of a factor.

Be advised, the flu shot is not 100% effective. I heard varying numbers
on the news, from 60-75% effectiveness. I'm sure you've heard that you
can still get the flu after a shot - but it's weaker. Also, and I'm sure
you also know this, there are many viruses that display flu-like
symptoms, against which the flu shot is ineffective. Since antibiotics
didn't work, even with your, um, "delicate" (is there a more acceptable
term?) immune system, it's almost certainly a viral infection.

Not being a doctor, nor having ever played one on TV, I'd say that a
full-blown case of the flu that lasted this long would have put you in
the hospital long before this. So, it's either a weak case, or one of
those other flu-like viruses. Another possibility is some common colds,
one right after the other. And bronchitis, though that's more often
bacterial. Come to think of it, it could be that with your immune
system, the antibiotics were more to hold things like bronchitis and
pneumonia away than to cure anything.

But please, don't listen to me about this stuff. I'm just a simple
farmer. Talk to your doctor - sooner rather than later.
