   sort of solved   
      
   I ticked all the backports on update discovered kdebluetooth.   
      
   And an icon on the task bar   
      
   After that and some depressing error messages. it worked.   
      
   I did have to OK every file as it came in. The check box to accept all file   
   was ignored.   
      
   It is appallingly unintuitive but it does work.   
      
   I wont need it very often.
