     I did look into Dovecot when you last suggested it, but decided it   
   was all a bit OTT for me.   
      
   Anyway, it's how Thunderbird handles maildir at the moment that bothers   
   me, not where the maildir is.   
      
   I'm happy to stay with good old Mandriva 2012.2 for a while longer,   
   whilst keeping up with Mageia's progress.  No big hurry...
