   Very true

Airplane drivers get regular physicals even if they are only hobbyists.
I've a commercial license, and while I rarely exercise the privileges
of that rating, it requires an annual flight physical. Because of
other problems, I also get blood work at least twice a year.

So far, there have only been a couple of the important ones, caught
far enough in advance that "I'm still here".

It's called a "living will" and many medical facilities can provide
one. Sign, with witnesses, and less problems for the next-of-kin.
Three of the local hospitals have copies of mine on file, as does the
primary-care. There's a notarized copy in my wallet along with a
current list of meds and such.

Bicycling - I try to get a half hour run in daily, which is about 6-7
miles. Big problem is the summer heat, and I'll often try to make
my ride in the morning before it hits 90F/32C. Now, it's the opposite
problem. My primary care claims I'm not getting enough exercise
pushing away from the table. Bah! I do that three times a day.

The other exercise is swimming, but I think the pool has icebergs
right now. I don't like pools cooler than 80F/27C.
