   Me thinks Daniel's was generally speaking and has given up even looking. :(   
      
   type rm showed rm -i and man page gives   
          -i     prompt before every removal   
   at that point Daniel should have understood "that is not what I want"   
   and right above it is   
          -f, --force   
                 ignore nonexistent files and arguments, never prompt   
   which was one of his requirement.   
      
   I was hoping he would read the rest of the man page to get:   
   1. the solution to his second requirement "directories"   
   2. so he would not be back later asking how to remove   
      some file starting with -whatever.
