I forget why (I'm sure I explained upthread) but I replaced Mdv & Mga
with CentOS and Debian and am using CentOS here (this laptop has room
for two distros). Maybe not 100% secure yet, but it connects to public
   wi-fi pretty easily.

At least now I know I can connect to them. I'm now at a rehab (across
the street from the childhood home of a famous movie director!) so
that's 2 out of 2 public networks I've connected to.

URI wasn't easily curable, or conflicts?

Louise seemed to be under the impression that Allegra was a threat, even
   after ten years together.

They didn't even /have/ 'pcp pneumonia' (that's what it was) when I was
a kid, and the transplant center had me on one antibiotic that was
supposed to prevent it. BTW comas are worse than nightmares -- at least
after a nightmare you know it wasn't real. I'm still sorting out
   "memories" from then.
