   I can imagine that his father is having the most troubles, as if you've   
   been reading recent posts in that on-going thread, you're aware that   
   the mother was placed into a protective care facility and the father   
   was in process of selling the home before moving in to join her.  In   
   addition to all the on-going, he's now got another existence to wrap   
   up at the same time.   
      
   Adam had mentioned several years ago that, because he had received the   
   kidney transplant, he at least had a _chance_ of seeing age 50. Without   
   it, the odds were very much against him.  But even with the transplant,   
   the odds of "old age" were poor.  The immunosuppressant regimen needed   
   to prevent rejection of the transplant significantly increases the risk   
   of "other" problems.
