File a bug report - user agents have been required to handle "long"
headers (998 octets) for over ten years (section 2.1.1 of RFC2822, or
even "Son of 1036" later published for historic reasons as RFC1849).

See my response to sctvguy1 last week in that
thread. While getting the transplant was certain to let him live
longer and in somewhat better circumstances (I still recall "Dr.
McCoy" curing a kidney dialysis patient in the "Star Trek: The Voyage
Home" movie by giving her a "simple" pill he just happen to carry in
his doctor's bag), Adam was not likely to have anything like a
"normal" lifespan. The big problem with all transplants remains the
immunosuppressant regimen needed to prevent rejection of the
transplant, which significantly increases the risk of "other"
   problems.

Blinky was different. He went down-hill rather rapidly (days) and did
not seek the medical help that might have prevented his death. For
others who missed it, one of his last posts (in rec.food.cooking)

I feel like shit. I may have about ten minutes, here, before I have
to go back to bed. Can't sleep, but don't have the energy to do
anything else, either -- not even read. (And that just kills me.)
So I've been flashing back to little home remedies from growing up in
    the 1950s...

Blinky passed away in his sleep about 3 days later. The official cause
of death on the death certificate was "Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular
Disease" according to a followup thread ("Blinky final (maybe)") in
alt.fan.cecil-adams on May 5 of that year.
