I was about 10 years old when I was listening to the Whistler,       the Shadow, Mr.District Attorney, and the Lone Ranger as well       as Superman, Jack Armstrong the All American Boy, Chandu the Magician       living on a farm I was cold to the charms of Gene Autry, Red Ryder with       the Duchess and Lil Beaver was interesting. Red and his crew appeared       in comic books and some good stuff that taught you more about the world.               But the Whistler and the Shadow were good shows that never bothered me       too much. Learned to laugh like the Shadow and the Whistler       was hard to whistle.               But not much frightened by the shows that frightened you say       older kids.        TV is different because of the pictures that rigidify the       imagination which you had to use to imagine the characters in a       radio drama.               bliss              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
