   That Russian ROSA user interface crap was one of the reasons I left Mandriva

   It has pretty much stayed the same for me since I now run Mageia.   
   Mageia 1 was a fork of Mandrake 2010.   
      
   Were you to do a clean install of Mageia 3, you might find it would be   
   pretty close to the Mandriva 2010 settings. Especially if you set the   
   Oxygen Theme.   
      
   I did get tired of the desktop shortcut icons changing on new releases.   
   My solution was to copy the icons into my own /local/icons and modify   
   all my shortcuts to use them. Now my KDE desktop looks the same all the time.
