   different position   
      
   Firefox  can no longer access the google site; it returns an error

   502. That’s an error.   
      
   The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your   
   request.   
      
   Please try again in 30 seconds. That’s all we know.   
   -------------------------------------------   
      
   Other sites are fine   
      
   Konqueror and Lynx also return an error from google .   
      
   Suggestion of what to try next are very welcome
