From: karl.dalen21@gmail.com              Thanks for the info. I have downloaded the 64-bit dvd version. No need for       life CD's since this is a new system. I plan to use this machine as a server       and for receiving over-the-air TV using a PCI TV tuner card. I have had this       set-up working fine for        years on many Mandriva distributions. I have written some code around it to       make it easy to mange files and recording. The driver for this card has always       been included in the standard Linux distro and all I've needed to do has been       to store a firmware        file in a special location. I've used all the DVB related packages. Hopefully       that will work on 64-bit version as well.              When installing libraries using the package manager, do both 32 and 64 bit       versions get installed automatically or do you need to install them separately       ? I'm familiar with dealing with both 64 and 32 bit versions in Solaris but       I've never used 64-bit        Linux before.       I definitely will need 32-bit libraries since I have a lot of older 32-bit       executables.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
