   	I really think you might enjoy using Thunderbird from Mozilla   
   for handling e-mail and Usenet news groups. Should be easy enough to   
   find a Thunderbird or maybe Icedove as some distributions have it.   
   	Well, news.eternal-september.org is a free news server and carries this   
   newsgroup.  Very easy to get an account there.
