From: karl.dalen21@gmail.com              Just an update, I finally managed to get Mageia installed and boot from       the HD. In addition to the "Secure Boot" and UEFI disabled and CSM legacy boot       enabled I also changed SATA mode from IDE to AHCI and disabled       "S.M.A.R.T status check"       After a new install in that mode it booted up nicely. Thanks a lot for all       the help. I think I have reinstalled the OS about 6 times to reach this level.       A part from that issue everything seemed to work (LAN/Audio/Graphics).       I will send out a list of all settings later on the mageia news group.       By the way is the standard Intel 810 graphics driver good enough for       the GPU in i3/3220 (HD Graphics 2500) or are there better drivers ?              Another question, Is there a file in MD 2010 where I can find all packages       installed? Since I have the root partition from Md2010 on an old PATA drive       available as a PATA-to-USB drive it would be an easy way to see what packages       I need to install to get back to a similar state as my MD 2010 environment              Regards,              /Karl              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
