    This is an older problem ongoing.   
   It has become a hobby   
      
   Does firefox use anything else not contained in the .mozilla folder?   
      
   I have moved the .mozilla folder and restarted a default firefox but it will   
   not connect to google. I also removed and reinstalled firefox app to no   
   effect. I am currently running Mandriva 2010   
      
   Today I installed Mandriva 2011 on spare partition and firefox works just   
   fine,  so something has broken in 2010 that affects firefox, survives a   
   reinstall and does not reside in the .mozilla folder   
      
   any guesses :-)
