   If you have been changing the preferred application it could be stored   
   somewhere in your account.   
      
   grep -r 'old_firefox_string_here' ~/.kde4   
      
   If you have a bunch of directories in ~/tmp, I would   
    cd tmp   
    pwd   
   Verify you are in $HOME/tmp   
   \rm -r *   
      
   log out/in
