I've been watching Mageia closely. I last installed Mandriva when
they'd gone to all that effort to develop Matisse, the windowmanager.
It seemed so interesting and I wanted to support a company that was
   focused on innovating.

This distro family sure has undergone a lot of changes, re-changes, and
drama. I still recall even Mandrake fondly, and that's coming from a
SUSE user that goes all the way back to the year 2000.
