   I had a "Eurika" moment early in the morning. The file IS generated by   
   script. Bit Twister's suggestion put me onto it.   
   I can't imagine why I forgot that - I'm getting to old for this.   
   The App generates one set of hyphens and an echo command in the script   
   generates the second
