   It should be possible.  Recently, I came across a site offering laptops with   
   Ubuntu pre-installed.  I was going to suggest Mint, which I have, but its   
   shutdown arrangements are worse, and there is no installed link to official   
   documentation.   
      
   I have forgotten why you left Mageia in the first place.  Their position on   
   UEFI is stated at

   which says that support is experimental and will be better in Mga5.   
   According to DistroWatch, 5 alpha 1 should have been out a week ago.
