   > One of reasons why I still use the Mandriva 2010 with my old home directory
is that I configured the looks to fit my needs. So I used to use black styled
theme with white color of text/font. I use Mandriva just for very basic jobs
   like backing up
partitions and possible recovering of them. The solution would be to format
the /home partition but in that case I would loose my configuration. I am
still not ready to test new Distribution when I just want to backup partition.
   It seems to me most
simple in Mandriva which I already know how to use it. Probably I will format
the home and reinstall Mandriva. I just don't like the idea that when I would
do it I would lost my black theme.

Yes well I have my Mageia with KDE 4.12.5 setup with transparent
   docking/taskbar/panels. White lettering on black
is easy to enough to do thru the System Settings and Plasma
Theme choices. You might have to download more themes but
the system settings and plasma choices permit this if you
   are connected to the net.

The thing is if you are connecting with an older distribution
such as Mandriva 2010.1 your computer in danger because the the
other distributions have corrected dozens of security holes while
you have been languishing with Mandriva 2010.
