   	It certainly is possible.  You join the news.eternal-september.org by   
   registering the name and password you will be using,   
   etc. at the ES site.   
   	Then when you are joined you subscribe because you have to   
   update your newsgroup list and chose which of the 40,000 newsgroup   
   you want.  All the instructions you need are on the site if you   
   are using a true news reader client.   
   	If you have trouble the ES has its own test and support
