   Hi typers and readers,

I am not sure where I found pclinusos64-KDE5-2016.04.15.iso.
I tried to find it again to check on any useful remarks but had no
   luck.

This is a preview of PCLinux with KDE 5.x.x.
It ran pretty well but here are the notes I took.

Tried to put it on a flash drive but would not boot so may need
modification. Maybe it needs to have isohybrid run on it.

Wrote it to a DVD and had no problem booting.

   guest]$ uname -a
   Linux localhost 4.4.7-pclos1 #1 SMP Tue Apr 12 14:22:45 CDT 2016 x86_64
   x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Kate Using:Version 15.12.3 with which I wrote these notes.

   Using:
   KDE Frameworks 5.21.0
   Qt 5.6.0 (built against 5.6.0)
   The xcb windowing system

   KDE Partition Manager
   Version 2.1.0 using the same
versions of KDE Frameworks and Qt.
Well it works pretty well, seems like some
GParted functions are misplaced. Like the
apply button is on the left side of the bar
rather than on the right side.

Tools to download and update the LibreOffice suite and the VirtualBox
are present in the menu system.

Finally found System Settings hidden away just as I began to think it
   was not there. Version 5.6.2

Firefox 45.0.2 works as well as Firefox seems to do.
I used it to make a .pdf of a page,
No .pdf reader available as far as I can see.
Back here on PCLinuxOS 2016.03 Ocular opened my Firefox
   .pdf very nicely.

Thunderbird comes with but I did not try it out as
where would my information go? Probably into the bit bucket.

PCLOS Control Center was right there and I used it to look
around a bit. Slightly different partition manager contained
   there.

This KDE Plasma 5 works but is still lacking the simple
refinements of the previous releases of the Plasma 4 series.
I have to say the background of colored fog is nicer than
the geometric distortions seen in the other releases.
All in all this preview version is as one might expect
running solidly but lacking many useful tools
Oh and only one game, Kpatience, which has about a dozen
slightly different versions of solitaire available.

I can hardly wait until Plasma 5 satisfies my utilitarian
   tastes.
   	bliss
