   Hi there readers and writers,   
      
   	Well it seems I forgot to update my forking around.   
   	I have gotten PCLOS 2016.07 which is with KDE 5.7 installed on my Dell   
   test machine..   
   	After I did some updates on the Open Mandriva Lx 3.0 of only 3   
   files and installed some codecs I failed to see the micro-SD card in   
   the VLC media list.   
   	When I got it working it would not play the subtitles and I tried   
   installing the codecs, but it was not improved.   
      
   	So I went back to PCLOS 2016.07 and it had 56 updates.   
   	I am waiting until my updates complete.   
   	But I don't care for this version of KDE and it fails to present   
   the anonymous requester for user name and password that I have chosen in   
   system settings.  I will try again today but I doubt the situation   
   regarding log-in is resolved.   
   	I decided to reboot and no sound and bad name listing login   
   screen persists.   
   	So that is the present situation and I have gathered a lot of   
   data using the trouble shooting commands from PCC.
