I did not much care for it on the Dell E6420. I am still
keeping it to do updates and see if it gets better,

Fedora and SuSe are aimed at bleeding edge followers
and the reason that they don't want other distribution is
because of their licensed keys(at least on Fedora from MS).

PCLOS does have UEFI support. Arguably systemd
is not an advance in the art. PCLOS in its preview
version of 2016.07 using KDE 5.7 brags about this neglect
of the latest complication with the new slogan
     "Radically Simple".
None of the distributions I have used have all the Grub2
files that are needed by multiple boot setups though.
Solution for me was to download to each distribution
the Grub2 files I needed. Basically this amounts to grub-organizer
and on my Dell E6420 I run PCLOS as the master system which sets
up the grub2 menu for that system with Windows 7, PCLOS, Open Mandriva
and Salix. I had Mageia 6sta on that disk but every update brought
it down so I felt no qualms with wiping it out and putting Salix
   there.
On this Pavilion I first had Windows 8.1, I installed Mageia 4.1
and then Mageia 5RC which I switched to using daily. When I heard
about a version of PCLinux OS which supports UEFI in 2016.03 I installed
it where Mageia 4.1 had been. I started to use PCLOS 2016.03 at once, I
have a little problem getting to the Mageia 5 but I can work there if I
need to do so, And messing about with the installation of Mageia 4.1
and getting it correct finally was how I learned after making at least
6 mistakes resulting in 3 re-installs including of Windows 8.1.

You want to have a copy of SuperGrub2 Disk handy if you want a proper
install of PCLOS on a multi-boot system because of the post-install
reboot and configuration. On a single or dual-boot install
   you might not need it.
