XPost: alt.os.linux.mandrake, alt.os.linux.pclinuxos       From: bliss@mouse-potato.com               Hi Typers and Readers,        Well I said I would be back about this.       I will try a re-install tomorrow but I don't have much hope       of it working very well.        I was updating my other installed OSes this evening.       I got to the OM install and it had 751 updates.        I left it downloading and went to do something       when I came back it had a screen lock on that was broken       and could not be released following on screen directions       to do alt cntrl F2 and then "loginctl unlock-sessions"        I tried the command as given then tried the       next suggestion alt ctrl F1 but it just went back to the       same unlockable screen which cannot be unlocked. I       tried a 3 finger salute but had to shut down with the       power button. Attempted to reboot but it hung X2       before we had a open terminal or a graphics screen.               Avoid OpenMandrivaLx.3.01.1-PLASMA.x86_64.        Oh yes did I say the window resize does not work       in the horizontal. It does not.               Well this time the downloaded file from the       Distrowatch torrent site did match the given checksum.               Just off the top of my head I think we have       a real stinker here. If I make any progress with it       I will be posting here about it. So discouraging.               bliss "running fast and light" on PCLinuxOS64-2016.03       GNU/Linux 4.10.15-pclos1 #1 SMP Mon May 8               --       bliss dash SF 4 ever at dslextreme dot com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
