|    Network Center problems    |

From: unruh@invalid.ca              a) Network Center really does need to convert to iw, instead of iwlist.       Again I was at Gatwick airport and Network Center showed nothing. the number       of AP exceeded the maximum that iwlist can tolerate and it completely craps       out. If nothing else someone (I wish I could but I do not have the perl       knowledge) should write a wrapper for iw to put out the dame format as       iwlist scan       puts out so one could plug that into network center.              b)Network Center occassionally compleely destroys the entry into       wpa_supplicant.conf. Ie, I bring up Nework Center, try to connect to eduroam       say (a 'universal' access point for universities around the world which       requries WPA2 Enterprise with and EAP login/password, etc) and network center       has completely forgotten the setup. When You look into wpa_supplicant.conf, it       has been rewritten and all the old information forgotten.       This is really nasty since the setup for eduroam is quite specfic and hard to       remember all the details of.              I have no idea why network center suddenly thinks eduroam is not set       up and asks you to configure it, and dectroys the old configuration.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
