   Do you think this is a good next step? To re-emerge baselayout, maybe I will   
   see an error.   
   I know that certain misusage of conf.d/net exposes scripting errors and I'm   
   wondering if I have coded it incorrectly in some way? So I am also thinking   
   it could be my understanding of setting up this file. I get these errors   
   after it invokes dhclient on the outgoing adapter. And the state of eth0 is   
   not usable after so I type dhclient eth0 and all is well.   
      
   So somehow my net.eth0 process is broken either by subtle configuration or   
   missed error in baselayout emerge.
