   Hi,   
      
   somewhen within the last month my system lost some of its sound   
   capabilities. While amarok & mplayer still have sound output, videos   
   played by firefox (youtube,...) and emulators like uae do not play sound   
   anymore.   
      
   When I run firefox as user I get:   
      
   ALSA lib pcm_misc.c:740:(snd_pcm_parse_control_id) Cannot get index for 0   
      
   UAE gives me:   
      
   uae: pcm_plug.c:67: snd_pcm_plug_close: Zusicherung »plug->gen.slave ==   
   plug->req_slave« nicht erfüllt.   
   (which is some assertion error)   
      
      
   I was looking for old config files, re-run alsaconf and verified that   
   all level are up in the mixer.

   what about all these -alsa... use flags? They are not listed by ufed. I
