|    "No volume groups found" after reboot    |
|    28 Feb 08 16:40:24    |
From: chris@nickname.berlin.de              I setup a Gentoo system on a ADM64X2 with software raid and lvm. The setup       process of the base system went fine. After the first reboot my volume       groups are not recognized, most likely I made a mistake when building the       kernel. Now I tried to reboot from the installation CD and wanted to mount       the volumes again to correct the kernel. However, all tools I know of dont       work:       vgscan --mknodes       pvscan -v       tell me: No matching physical volumes found       What is the correct way to recover, beside reinstallation?       Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
