|    Two questions about NX    |

From: thorsten@thorstenkampe.de              Hi,              I'm using nxserver-freeedition. This works fine but two problems       remain:              1. NX (to be exact: nxssh) uses some random or incrementing port above       5000 to connect to the NX server. I would have to open all port above       5000 in my firewall to let the NX client connect. How can I predict to       which port the NX client/nxssh connects?              2. When I login to a UNIX/KDE session the KDE "Composite Manager"       complains that it cannot find the "Composite extension". This is       configured in xorg.conf and in a normal (non NX) session the       "Composite Manager" does not complain.              Does NX have its own "xorg.conf" or why cannot KDE find this setting       when it's running under NX?!                     Thorsten       --       "I'm a vet.
