   (I'm new to Gentoo.)   
      
   Trying to install GCC 4.3 with:   
      
      emerge -uav ">=gcc-4.3"   
      
   says that sys-devel/gcc-4.3.0 is masked (missing keyword).  I've read   
   the docs on gentoo.org and it says that on "missing keyword" packages, I   
   have to add "~amd64" to the ACCEPT_KEYWORDS variable to be able to   
   accept unstable packages.  I've done that (in /etc/make.conf), but still   
   I get the same error.  Then I've read that there are hard-masked   
   packages and I should look in /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask.  But   
   GCC 4.3 in not listed there, so it's not hard-masked.   
      
   Now?  How to emerge GCC 4.3?  The docs aren't of any help here, unless   
   there's something I don't see.
