From: thorsten@thorstenkampe.de              Hi,              I just upgraded to the new expat 2.0.1 and to avoid massive recompiles       for all those applications that were linked against the old expat I       copied the expat file from /usr/lib to /usr/local/lib (which was a tip       from forums.gentoo.org).              My "strategy" now is that I want all the old applications to use expat       from /usr/local/lib but all new emerges only to link against expat from       /usr/lib (so I can get rid of the expat in /usr/local/lib in a few       months).              I tried to recompile abiword (just as an example) but found out (with       ldd) that it's now linked against the new expat /and/ the old expat.              So what I basically need is a way to exclude /usr/local/lib from LDPATH       for emerge.              How can I do that?                     Thorsten              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
