   It's available through layman. I tried it and I was very impressed. As   
   mentioned elsewhere, it's not totally polished. However as it is, very   
   usable. I have it on a laptop and it constantly blows people away...   
      
   I would recommend waiting for 4.1 to turn up in portage though... there are   
   a couple of compile issues and incompatibilities between new and old   
   support packages. For instance, qca... kde359/kopete and psi want version   
   1.x while kde4.1/kopete wants 2.x... not possible at the same time...
