   Your idea i regarding chmod is a good one.. I normally do that on most   
   of the directories over here..   
      
   Not sure I want the fellow to try to upload more to duplicate the error   
   (grin).. but at the least I'll keep my eye on the ftp log.   I'll also   
   turn off the flag for pure-ftpd to create subdirs.. they don't really   
   need that  generally.... one binary, one description file.  This fellow   
   had about  55M in various files for windows.
