   Myself I finished a Gentoo install at work, really an image for our customers   
   to deploy Gentoo VMs :)

   I have installed KDE4 on my laptop, as it's not multi X, so it don't matter so   
   much. Applying plasma icons lacks options to allow define where to execute it   
   and the old way of applying options are gone.

   The question is how long will it be there, I remember gnome disappeared quite   
   fast in favor to crappy gnome2.

   I did download it and was trying to install it, it ended with that I booted   
   into the desktop environment and failed to find any installer and the web page   
   was as good as an evening tabloid for news.   
      
   I think it was Gnome2 they used, but they should have the same packages as you   
   find in Gentoo and wouldn't be surprised if KDE4 is default KDE nowadays.
