   I don't use icons on my desktop, but all I did was right-click a menu   
   entry then select the "add to Desktop" option and Voila! An Icon on the   
   desktop. Perhaps that's not what you mean.

   Can't help you there. I prefer the size to be what it was the last time   
   I used it.

   Sorry... can't help you. Maybe you should stick with the kde-overlay if
