   Maybe to your eyes, but it's a tried and tested way of installing a   
   UNIX system. And I've been doing it like that for over 20 years.

   Different mount options for added security and robustness. You   
   can do this with btrfs subvolumes as well, but you cannot do it if you   
   install everything in a single ext4/xfs/jfs/reiserfs/whatever   
   filesystem.
